How much bandwidth does a VoIP service use?
Depending on the audio codec selected, bandwidth usage can vary.

Below is a list of supported audio codecs on the Netspace VoIP network and their approximate bandwidth usage.

  • G729a (Preferred) – Uses approximately 31Kbps in each direction
  • G711a/u – Uses approximately 87Kbps in each direction
